Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to learn about our school. We are a K-8 Catholic elementary school, located in the residential West Hamilton area, serving the families of St. Peter in Chains and St. Julie Billiart parishes. In addition to Hamilton, our students come from several school districts: Fairfield, Ross, Talawanda, Edgewood, and New Miami.
At St. Peter in Chains School, faith formation and a strong academic program go hand in hand. Our school is blessed with a talented and highly dedicated group of teachers and support staff who challenge our students and each other to keep Christ at the center of everything we do, to use our God-given gifts and talents, to serve others, and to make this world a better place.
We offer a strong curriculum and follow the graded course of study set forth by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. In addition to religious instruction and the academic core subjects, all students participate in physical education, Spanish, art, and music classes. Students also use the library and computer lab, where they hone their skills in reading and technology. In each of our classrooms, the environment is lively, innovative, engaging, and respectful – a wonderful atmosphere for teaching and learning. Our teachers set high expectations, encouraging and guiding students to achieve their fullest potential. Students respond well to this as is evidenced in classroom performance, standardized test scores, high school placement test results, and finally in successful high school experiences.
In addition to a well-rounded program of studies, students have the opportunity to participate in an array of other activities: Big/Little Buddies, Continental Math League, Bob Dole Spelling Bee, service projects, National Geography Bee, Accelerated Reader, CYO athletics, and CYO dances. These opportunities enrich and enhance the lives of our students.
The school is supported by the generous contributions and prayers of our pastor and parishioners. We are also blessed with a vibrant and active PTO, in addition to a large number of parents and grandparents who willingly give of their time and talents to volunteer at school.
We’re extremely proud of our school community and are grateful for all who work to make St. Peter’s a special place. If you’d like to find out more about our school, please give us a call!
